Toshiba recently rolled out a line of laptops and notebooks featuring the Worldwide Interoperability for Microwaves Access, also known as WiMAX technology. It's a telecommunications protocol that provides wireless mobile Internet access at very high speeds. This technology is gaining much popularity these days. Hence, Toshiba has updated their line of notebooks with this high-tech broadband connectivity. Due to in-built WiMAX chip, the new line of Toshiba laptops will offer a higher speed Internet access with a wider coverage area. This kind of coverage is not possible with Wi-fi technology.
